What a Ridiculous List: Forbes’ “Best Places to Retire in {pick your year}”

by Chris Kennedy

Is it a slow day in the newsroom? Why does Forbes and Money magazine keep coming up with these insipid and insultingly incomplete and inaccurate lists?

The best places to retire in 2012?   Please.

I wonder if the author actually did any research.  Did you notice that most of the cities listed have a high crime rate?  Why in the hell would you even put them in the list?  Is this some kind of effort in psychological conditioning to get you to accept that there is high crime everywhere?

Is it an effort to convince all of us that we just have to “live with it” and accept that we may be “victims” of carjacking, break-ins, home invasions, burglaries, violent crime, and murder?

I’ve got news for your Forbes: You are wrong.
